WELCOME

Hello World...........

"Bulldog" here!

I want to welcome you to this site and BLOG space.

When putting this together, I had to enter my birth date. The birth date has been entered as 9/4/56. That was the first day of school and the day that most of the "kids" in this class became AUHS Bulldogs.

Feel free to add comment to this blog and add it to your "favorites" so you can visit on a regular basis.

The Class of ’60 Reunions
just get better and better!

Georgeann (Brown) and Verne Casey opened their beautiful yard and vintage grain barn for our 55th Class Reunion.  Worker Bulldogs were Georgeann and Verne, Linda (Geister) McCrary, Georgia Alden Aas, Judy (Rich) Bailey, Dorothy Davis, Lucy (Rogers) Hodson, Nancy (Richards) Hayes, Mary (Buerge) King, Joyce (Cray) Barrett, Betty (Coates) Thorn, and Bev (Rogers) and LeRoy Haven.

The inviting and welcoming tables set up in the "dining hall".

Linda set up the party and Judy Rich Bailey made the delicious salads.

Dessert was a Pie Bar baked by the Bulldog helpers.

The presentations....

ALL SET???

Nancy, Joyce and Mary, on behalf of the class, presented a beautiful glass Bulldog plate crafted by our well known class artist Kay (Roner) Ferguson.

THE GUEST OF HORROR HONOR????
Verne with the help of his son-in-law and grandson roasted one big pig!  The unveiling brought everyone out into the sunshine.

FUN IN THE BARN

Thanks to all the Bulldog helpers who transformed the barn into a graceful, elegant banquet hall.  The big room sparkled with tiny lights and was adorned with a clothesline full of very old photos.  Each of the round tables had a bouquet of sunflowers, new cloth napkins, and its very own Bulldog!  The Caseys had hung a huge chalk board on which classmates wrote the changes we have seen since graduation.  If we hadn’t been so busy visiting, I’m sure we would have thought of even more changes.

Our unexpected bit of excitement came about when Earl Snell suddenly collapsed to the ground!  Nurses Valetta and Karen (Pluemke) Lewis were right there to help.  Dehydration?  The paramedics discreetly checked him out.  All is well that ends well.  Maybe Earl just couldn’t wait any longer for that roast pork!
